Mourning has Broken is an excellent album, but it seems Sneap doesn't care much for it. I thought the new lineup and direction were valid, kind of going in a power metal sort of direction, and I mean that is a good way.

first impression from these guys is that they are bloody intense with an amazing vocalist

never understood all the hate for this album. bought this when it came out, and still love it. when taken on it's own, it's really fucking cool, and unique sounding.

@whytegroovin honestly these production values were very typical for underground metal albums the 80's. the production here is far better than many albums from this period. you just need to learn to listen to it with a underground ear ;-)

this is very good, but in 1991 a bit past the curve for this style, which explains why it was overlooked. metal was beginning to move in a different direction at that point. really glad to discover this now. thanks for posting.

musically yes it was rather underrated but god the sound production sucks really and does not set justice to the music the vocalist was rather original in its own lyrical approach too but once again the awful sound wastes and ruins all their efforts !!! too bad ...

No problem! Glad to see someone else loves this album too. I wish they added this release on their remasters collection. This is WAYYYYY to good not to re-release!

Thank you sooo much for putting this OVERWHELMINGLY underated album (3rd) by the great Sabbat. I told Sneap that this was his version of Cynic, he laughed! :P His Guitar playing has just about NO sign of "Rock", its more fusion than anything he has ever done. Great album :D -MAVIII(prOgulus. c O m)
