Friendly reminder that Saddam made it illegal for children to skip school for ages 6-15.Friendly reminder that in three years since becoming president illiteracy was completely eradicated in Iraq as recognized by UNESCO. In contrast, current illiteracy rates in Iraq are over 20%.Friendly reminder that in Ba'athist Iraq education was free at all levels resulting in a highly educated population in the 80's. This included all fees, supplies, books, tools, etc, and was up to postgraduate studies and included thousands of annual scholarships outside Iraq.Friendly reminder that Saddam made sure every single village had an elementary school across the country, and every province of Iraq had at least one university.Friendly reminder that in Ba'athist Iraq women enjoyed free education and were protected by the law from sexual harassment, granted equal pay, a six month maternal leave, and enjoyed the rights to enter politics and own property. Rights non existent today.Friendly reminder that when Saddam was in power Christians practiced religion openly and were allowed to preach. Missionaries were protected and operated free from all constraint.Friendly reminder that under Saddam healthcare was free, there was a clinic in every village and a hospital in every city, and vaccines were mandatory.Friendly reminder that due to 13 years of sanctions imposed by the west after Kuwait, over half a million children alone died in Iraq, their economy destroyed, and the army left severely weakened. This was before the invasion even started.

Simply not true (well the whole Vader's helmet thing) as his helmet is not inspired by German helmets, actually it was inspired by helmets of the samurai. also, I'll agree that much of the star wars universe is based off of nazi Germany, but its not centred on it, it has more to do with the ideas of feudalism, and much of the "Empire" is based off of the story of Atlantis, where even the most technologically advanced nation, is'nt the perfect nation. (this also reflect aspects of Germany)

Fun fact for those asking about "Vader." Vader's helmet was inspired by the German WW2 helmets, and another fun fact, does the term "Stormtrooper" sound familiar to you? It's what the German elite soldiers were called. The entire Empire in Star Wars was centered around Hitler and his rise to the Reich. (Emperor Palpatine = Hitler)
