Two ways to view the world so similar at times

Two ways to rule the world to justify their crimes

By kings and queens young men are sent to die in war

Their propaganda speaks those words been heard before

Two ways to view the world

Brought Europe down in flames

Two ways to rule

Has man gone insane

A few will remain

Who'll find a way

To live one more day

Through decades of war

It spreads like disease

There's no sign of peace

Religion and greed

Cause millions to bleed

Three decades of war

From dawn to dawn they're fighting die where they stand

The fog of war lies thick when armies scorch the land

When all of Europe is burning what can be done

They've been to war a decade two more to come

Long way from home

Döpas och dö i strid

Lifetime at war

Has man gone insane

A few will remain

Who'll find a way

To live one more day

Through decades of war

It spreads like disease

There's no sign of peace

Religion and greed cause millions to bleed

Three decades of war

When they face death they're all alike

No right or wrong

Rich or poor

No matter who they served before

Good or bad

They're all the same

Rest side by side now

Has man gone insane

A few will remain

Who'll find a way

To live one more day

Through decades of war

It spreads like disease

There's no sign of peace

Religion and greed cause millions to bleed

Three decades of war [X2]

Someone needs to make a video with this cut with scenes from the war in the Mideast. Time does repeat, just in different locations.

men will fight for wealth and religion but they usually die in vain for a cause that could have been avoided

A war between the greedy authoritarian Roman Catholic church and the protestants that wanted the Bible in the common tongue and the ones who exposed the greed of the Roman Catholic church and it's falling away from the true teachings of Christ!

Well, to be frank the original "Islamic Terrorist" problems America had during the 80s (Hezbollah, Iran-Contra affair, etc.) were all essentially a twisted, madcap way of saying "get of my lawn." What is regarded as the first major strikes were three suicide attacks on American targets (Embassy, Barracks, Embassy again) that just coincidentally happened to actually be in Beirut. It might just be me, but I can understand being just a teensy bit upset with a gang of Marines camping on my lawn.

Quite indeed. At one point I would like to read more about the Thirty Year War, as it is a interesting subject.

Most of the wars in the Middle East are a good example. The Islamic extremists attack the US, US invades for revenge and resources.

As to what purpose war serves is debateable But the people who start these wars are not stupid that too is debateable why they do it But the man who sacrifices his life to march on behalf of his friends his family and his home is not stupid that man is far from it never forget that

Is that supposed to be a question? In that case... you are hopeless.

If you are counting from the time since 1945... then sorry but you are very wrong.
