Really? I thought hip-hop was an outwards expression of the environment and living style of - typically - black urban youths. It usually celebrates/comments on or seeks to influence/change the day to day life style of these people, through music, poetry, dance or graphics. It's as much about fun as it is about sex as it is about crime, poverty and discrimination. You however sound like a tired cliche stuck on repeat living in a time that's passed. My fav rappers are all from the 90s...Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Common, Ghostface, Nas...I could go on. Anyway you're generalizing and forgetting there's still a lot of good rappers. Dunno your tastes, but Lupe Fiasco? Danny Brown? The new J Cole album was pretty good too.
