It must be almost 33 and 1/3 years since Ruts DC presented Rhythm Collision vol 1. There are many great reviews and general online recognition of this seminal work and now, at last, Ruffy and Segs have entered Mad Professor's hallowed walls once again.
With the same attitude of 1-2-3- -- Record... the 24 track tape was rolling and rhythms were being recorded to tape, this time with the help of Chemical Brothers mixer Steve "Dub" Jones, and Seamus Beaghan on Live Dub synth and Organ respectively. Leaving the studio armed with Mad Profs rough mixes, they were inspired to return to the studio to Vocalise, Percussionise and Brass up the existing tracks.
The album, by another strange twist of fate Is being heavily dubbed out by Prince Fatty in Brighton and there is also a tune earmarked for 7inch release called Mighty Soldier featuring the legendary Tenorfly mixed in Charles street Jamaica by Gaylord Bravo for Small World Studios. Almost finished this site features a couple of said tracks on the Rut player.
