Well hey there! My name is Ruth and it's very nice to meet you! I am a singer/songwriter living in Nashville TN. I was born in Western NY (go bills!) and was raised on a 13 acre grape farm that's been in my family for 200 years... It's beautiful.

Growing up I was the baby of four girls. We were all musicians, but I was the one who really fell in love with music. I started singing, playing piano and violin under my mom's guidance at age 3. I added guitar to the list later on...

When I was 18 I left my tiny town and headed to Boston. I attended Berklee College of Music for 3 1/2 years... yes, that's right, just one semester shy of graduating...(sorry dad!) I moved to Nashville in 2006 to be a songwriter.

Since moving here I have absolutely fallen in love with this city. I spent a few years in a duo called Wild Honey with my friend Victoria Gibson. We were on the first season of CMT's Can You Duet and made it all the way to 6th place!

After Wild Honey, I've spent the past two years focusing on my solo career. I love to play live every chance I get and I spend my days writing... I've been SO lucky to work with some of the most amazing writers in town! Nathan Chapman, (Taylor Swift) Steve Bogard, ("Carried Away" George Straight, "Praying for Daylight" Rascal Flatts) Jeff Cohen ("Holy Water" Big and Rich) and a ton of other amazing writers! Seriously? I pinch myself everyday:)

Right now I'm just playing lots of music and writing lots of songs! Come on out to a show! I'd love to meet you!
