Beautiful - music speaks to me like no other besides the precious word of God. God uses his children to use their talents to bless us that need the melody and song of music everyday...so grateful, so very grateful Lord, thank you for the solice it gives me to hear truth from what you've laid on the hearts of those that wrote the words and you helped put the notes to it! You are simply amazing Lord and I love you ever so much!

Surrounded by the cares of life,Situations rise, they press against my soul.Desperate thoughts have blocked me in,Feels like I may lose control.A voice from somewhere inside me,Brings comfort, fills my heart with courage. And He lets me knowthat everything will be all right.I hear him say Be still my soul and know that he is God,He is God Stand quietly, He is The Lord.If God is for me who can be against me?Be still my soul, He is The Lord.Oh and just teach me Lord, to stay in you,When my emotions try to rule me,Just remind me Lord, of Whose I am,And show me what you want me to be.There is great strength, and confidence,In knowing that You are with me,No, now, I’m not afraid of tomorrow,What waits ahead.I hear him say Be still my soul and know that he is God,He is God Stand quietly, He is The Lord.If God is for me who can be against me?He is God Be still my soul, He is The Lord.Be still my soulHe is The Lord.He is The Lord.

Evidenced here is a most genuine request for Peace... within this Meditation Prayer... acknowledging an inner struggle common to all people. The important moment is a call to the Lord for Strength and Guidance. Each time I watch this my skin tingles. Thank you God... Thank you Jesus... Thank you Holy Spirit.

Thanks, that is very cool. I'm completely untrained musically, play no instrument, but find music theory so fascinating. It really is a supernatural element in the universe (for both good and bad). Russ Taff and the early 1980's iteration of the Imperials have been terribly underrated over the years. Their edgier, rock-oriented stuff from that era is exceptional, quite powerful. And, frankly, he has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard - although most folks have no idea who he is (!!).

I remember watching this LIVE over the Word of Faith World Outreach Satellite Network...it was at Word of Faith church in Dallas, Texas....awesome concert, brings back a lot of memories...the next concert after that was Whiteheart "Live"...

Russ wrote this one and there's a very subtle musical thing about it that makes it pure genius that my guitar instructor pointed out to me. The verses, which are all about struggle, are all minor chords(several variations on Am and D9), which emphasize the struggle, but the chorus shifts the key to all major chords (A E G D), which have a "happier" sound since of course, "if God is for me, who can be against me?". Simply beautiful, and awesome singing to boot.

I love this song! It's so powerful! It helped me to get through a really bad personal crisis recently. Thank the Lord for anointed Christian singers!

I grew up listening to the Imperials, and my mother had the album Walls of Glass, which she wore out because she played it so much. Brings me back to my childhood whenever I hear this song. I remember my mother staying up late at night listening to the music. I think God used the music to bring some comfort to her, and to us for that matter, as we were going throuh a tough time. Thanks be to God.

Medals was a good album but my fav was his 87 album titled just Russ Taff. On the cover he was standing on the beach in a black trenchcoat and it was a black and white picture. That was a great album actually still is. Takes me back whenever I listen to it.
