FANTASTIC! - I'll never understand how 3 guys can put out so much music. Wanted to see them when they were up here but couldn't. Hope to see the next time they are in Minnesota or close.

A very good Friend of mine was riding in my car on day and he asked " man do we need to listen to Rush"? I said no we don't! I pulled the car off the road and stopped. He said what are you doing? I said letting you get out and walk because I'm listening to Rush. You see it doesn't matter what anyone says about Rush good or bad. And it sure doesn't matter what is said about Geds voice. I've heard it all. But since 1974 when I 1st heard them on WMMS I was hooked. True fans who love rush as I do just don't care what anyone says about them.

Ok, I have to say that I have watched this particular video, as well as the full video of the Clockwork Angels show from Dallas, and I certainly do not see what you all are arguing about. On my video player, the vocals match the video. If you have watched as many interviews with Geddy and Alex as I have, Geddy admits that he has trouble hitting the higher notes now. He certainly doesn't " wail like a banshee" as he has been accused of doing in the past. They also structure their touring schedule so they play a concert with a day off in between. On the day off, Geddy rests his voice. Not even allowed to speak. This allows them to play for 3 hours, with a 15 minute or so intermission and no opening act so the fans get their money's worth.

One of their best songs from an album that some slate as the beginning of some kind of decline. I disagree. Signals to Hold Your Fire is my favorite era producing some of Rush's most memorable songs. Rush always put out quality stuff.

One of my top 5 Rush songs. Neil wrote these incredible lyrics which became the anthem for thousands of high school kids who never fit in and carry those scars for life:

Dear Rush fans who can't get over the fact that these vocals are NOT from this performance, here is what Geddy said about their "live" DVD and albums:"No, there's no overdubs. We have a couple of nights to choose from, so I think the mixers picked and chose the best moments from those two nights. So whatever wasn't 100 percent, we were able to use the other one."NOTE, that what I've said is what Geddy agrees with. The vocals here are clearly NOT from that show. Now, whether they are "overdubbed" or just frmo ANOTHER SHOW, Geddy makes it clear they DID use vocals from other nights. He then added, "We've done that in the past for certain songs where we've had train wrecks. We have so many live albums, first of all, that we've had just about every live album experience. The first one was totally raw and totally live and it really bugged us for years that we didn't fix anything. And then with the second one, we fixed way too many things and it sounds a bit sterile in retrospect. And then you learn what to mess with and what not to mess with. You want to present the best possible show for people, but you don't want to get so nit-picky about it that you lose what's interesting about a live performance."So, again, Geddy says they have ACTUALLY used LITERAL overdubs in the past. Now, whether or not THIS DVD is one where either overdubs were used or not, it's NOT like Rush has NEVER done it. GEDDY admits it and says that on their 2012 DVD they ABSOLUTELY swapped vocals from different nights. It is OBVIOUS on this song that is what they did at the bare minimum. If you would rather argue about something that GEDDY HIMSELF says is a non-issue, so be it.

The other AMAZING THING that people like ChillyDShow don't realize is this....You know the video in the background, kid? That has at least a 210ms delay. At any live show incorporating a refeed of a video main feed to the back-of-stage projectors. You, being a smart "concert" guy (sigh)... know this, right? Watch any sporting event... ANY event where projectors (you can call them jumbotrons)... have a 210ms delay at the VERY LEAST. So even if you actually spent your parent's money and went to a concert... what you SEE ON THE SCREEN is technologically delayed. Maybe this is where you're making one of your many errors.

Hey genius...you say the vocals are not live. You state they are recorded LATER. That stupidity is just precious. Thanks for the laugh at your expense. Go back to the music u understand...like Winger..or Primus.

Show Volume

Oh good grief. You are confused based upon what you are seeing. First of all, the transfer/ripping from BluRay or DVD to a Youtube video (likely MP4) has synching issues. Secondly, how many MTV videos have you ever watched where the person responsible for making the video has the downbeat and upbeat messed up with the drummer? I assure you NO pitch correction is going on because Geddy is so "all over the place" it would be impossible. You certainly have never used autotune, or even another pitch correcting software. Audio and Video are recorded SEPERATELY and synched by SMTPE time code. There are slips in the editing process. If you don't believe me, get the R30 set where they have re-released A Show of Hands. Rush have GONE BACK and re-released the original (non-multiple-night) version of the show. It's obvious. This is raw Rush. Flaws and all.
