This song has sooo much attitude! This is one of those We-are-Rush-and-you're-not classics.

It's a shame they didn't play this all the way through. This was one of their most technical songs. Though Necromancer had it's moments. Either way, I wish there was a full live video of this. This song was a masterpiece.

this song was soo far ahead of it's time... like any pink floyd or.... you just can't compare. Rush is Rush, but they did make music, some of their best... during these years, in my opinion

Rush is one of the most underrated, under appreciated bands around today. Their hardwork, dedication, musical integrity and overall class must carry some currency. But please do not dog bands like AC/DC and The Rolling Stones, they are important and alot of fun too. Save that for that hip-hop scene that thrive on one-uppers, beefs and feuds. We are rockers, we are more open-minded than that...

One of my favorite Rush songs, I saw it performed live on A Farewell to Kings tour in 1977 and Hemispheres tour in 1978. There is a live audio version on the Different Stages bonus disc. I will be in row 14 at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Sept.18th with my two sons.

The band, (Geddy in particular) has hinted that there are several days worth of unreleased live video and audio available. That they own. When or if it will ever be released is anyone's guess.

Too bad Geddy will never sing it live again like he did in 1977. Imagine if they could combine that with the instrumental skills they have now. All of the band is much better instrumentally now than they were when Farewell To Kings was released, especially Neil. Watch Neil in this one: no wasted movement, everything is dead-on precise. The best recorded live version of this (no vid) was the "Different Stages" set of CD's.

@LAMB0Fg0d420 It's a Farewell song. Go listen to the complete version, you'll love the difference. This is still my #1.

I love how Alex's guitar in the intro goes from a sound effect into a riff. The guy just owns on guitar. Geddy should've brought out his Ric for this tune, though, gotta have that clanky metal tone for a song this heavy. Love it.
