Nonsense, Hine wasn't ripping off Bowie. The concept of this video is totally unlike Ashes to Ashes. The "stillsuit" was bought from a shop in London, the same place Kate Bush bought the ones used in her video for the song The Dreaming.

I'd reason to think this video was directed by David Mallet, the director behind David Bowie's "Ashes to Ashes" video.

I remember this on MTV. I was in 5th grade and drew a line down Scott Baio's face on DYNAMITE magazine and colered half his face dark and the kid behind my desk knew exactly what I was doing for he saw the video too :) 1981 baby
