In 1967, “The Who’s” second album, “Happy Jack,” was released in the U.S. The LP contained a 10-minute mini-opera, “A Quick One,” which was also the album’s title in Britain.

I have yet to see a band with the chemistry of the early Who. Pete was playing the hollow Ric, Keith hadn't cooked his guts with brandy yet, John was still an innocent kid and Roger was a daft street tough punching them in the face if they got out of line.

What a song! Sort of rediscovered this gem after being into The Who for 30 years!!! The different mixes of this song are awesome! This period of The Who is simply breathtaking!!! Circles, Out In The Street, So Sad About Us etc are brilliant!!!! Of course a year later there is the daddy of them all, albeit in a different level and sound... I Can See For Miles...........:-)

Little Steven and the best memories from my youth sent me here. This is still king tone.

Yeah, agreed. Oddly enough (being that he was a bassist), I specifically love the guitar riffs in most of his songs, especially Heaven and Hell and Boris the Spider.

@ngiyaxolisa Yeah, I have seen that performance many times...part of it is in the film "The Kids Are Alright" and I think the complete performance is included in the DVD documentary "Amazing Journey".

@ngiyaxolisa No, it was written by Townshend.
