No doubt.... Rufus is weird! I love his music!!!! I saw him live with his father and it was a wonderful moment. Granted, Rufus is not everyone's taste but he's mine.

Rufus is simply my favorite artist/composer of 62 yrs of loving music! He surpasses Elton John, Lloyd-Weber, Billy Joel et al. He must have some incarnated genes of Porter, Gershwin, Brecht et al. Thank you for putting this up! Foolsgold is entitled to his opinion, but Rufus just writes an incredable range of music. Just when u think u r seeing a pattern he comes up w/an entirely new concept. He hasn't even done his best work, yet. You folks r so lucky u will live to hear it, g*d willing.

He is a rarity. Like Lucinda said about Leonard Cohen. A rare treasure.

I bet the studio audience that day weren't really prepared for a lederhosen-wearing divo like Rufus. Brilliance

"Raise the gates, and let them all come out/Remember that without theme there would be no Paramount". Of all of the lines, this one stuck out to be wonderfully.

I jsut wish this single had a music video. I can just picture how expensive it would be to have a handful of celebrities involved.

This sound just astounded me when I first heard it. After the "Want" albums I just sort of figured he'd have a tough time following up. Wrooooonnnnnnnnggggg. A brilliant album of brilliant music start to finish. You go Rufus.

Actually, Rufus is good friends with John Lennon's son, Sean Lennon. And as for calling Rufus Wainwright a genious... Musically, he is. He learned to play piano at 6 years old, and has been performing his entire life. He's amazing.
