That said she needs to be recognized and given a lifelong and other very high standard awards by the record industry. I place her in the same pantheon as Billy Holiday, and Aretha. I am serious. She should be in line for the American Academy of Arts and Letters Gold Medals so as to overcome their orchestral - European bias.

Does anyone else see the resemblance of this Chaka performance to Aaliyah's "try again" video? I knowit's a whole different time period and genre of music, but the similarities are uncanny; the black midriff outfit,both had straight hairdos parted down the center, and a individual "Swagg" of their own!!
