Amazing performance. First saw her with Black Oak Arkansas and I believe their juvenile songs didn't help her career any. I've listened to everything Janis Joplin ever did and THIS song and HER performance is superior. Yes better than Janis and her media fueled legend.Would this band be considered "her" band or was she a guest performer? The band is good. Ruby definitely deserved her own band. But in music, it takes a combination of many things to achieve success and world wide recognition. There are a thousand bands that should have been more popular than they were. And there are thousands of bands that should BE more popular than the garbage that is at the top of the charts today.  Ruby Starr was awesome.

wow...I'm just finding out about this rock goddess...I'm VERY surprised she didn't make a bigger mark on music industry ....oh...& I'm in Love...I'm ready to build time machine JUST to try & bed her...the gorgeous HEART girls (in their prime) should be jealous. especially picture at 4:34 I like her style(personality)& I like her style (how GOD drew her)...WOW...oh I better be careful...I got some girl-fans/friends that...wait I used the word earlier jealous....girls you are shaped that way too

I had long hair like her and my friend permed it so I looked like her for ever,but never knew or even heard of her,she ROCKS,If I'd known her I would have kept my long red hair just because she is so awesome!!Her music is new to me,as of tonight,I am a Ruby Starr fan!!!

I bought this album when it came out (I was 14). "That's It" was my favorite Ruby Starr song and it still remains a favorite. I was deeply saddened to learn that Ruby passed away a few years ago.
