Great song. Bought it when it came out (on the Harvest label?).Don't let the perv introducing the clip put you off - some of us always knew there was something not quite right about that bloke. Even when he seemed to be the apple of the country's eye....

Great song, yes there`s a Beach Boys influence but this is a full on Goffin / King homage. Could have come from the Brill Building. (As is Angel Fingers)

Unfortunately in this life we cant change history, You tube are right to show the clips with Jimmy Saville included, love him or hate him, he happened. He is a part of pop history. If you don't like him avoid TOTP clips or better still stop moaning and get on with life

Is there any way to remove Saville from these clips? I have said it before, but it seems that the creep is having the last laugh by popping up everywhere in TOTP clips, like a pervy uncle at Christmas parties. For God's sake, he was the worst paedophile we had in the UK, and why should we have to see him any more than necessary?

A nice tune, but not a nice DJ, please remove this monster from youtube clips.

Great sort of Beach Boys tribute which shows where he was going when he carried on to Eddy and the Falcons with Wizzard.

only two clips from this Jan '74 broadcast of TOTP from Jan '74 still exist--the rest was wiped---so we're lucky to have this at all.

also amazing to think Roy had hits in four different acts over a period of 18 months- The Move, ELO, Wizzard and here in his own right! a great musician

In an interview Roy told how he and Rick Price were invited to meet Brian Wilso about the time thsi track came out and young Carnie and Wendy Wilson (who were chidren at the time) greeted himself and Rick at the gate to Brian's house and walked them to the house singing this song to them- Roy was there to play on 'It's OK' (from 15 big ones) Rick Price wrote that sadly dear Brain was not in a good way and could not believe it was not Carl singing on this track

Fantastic, love Roy Wood. This seems to be a Beach Boys tribute....sounds so much like Carl Wilson.

the song--brilliant Mr Wood--a genius the performance--utterly surreal---Rick Price looks so awkward and a bit bedraggled and Mr Wood looks to be on another planet...
