My father loved Roy Orbison and bought all his music. I grew up with it, and remember this song as a small boy, sitting in my dad's pickup truck on the beach, watching a tropical wind churn the ocean to a froth. It was one of those moments when young boys feel as if the world would be a magic adventure forever, and as if they would always stay young. When I was 11 my father went out on a windsurfer one day and he specifically came to get me so I could ride on the board with him. I rode with him and thought about "our song." This is still my biggest favourite of all the Orbison song that my dad and I enjoyed together. It always brings back these two happy memories, and the sad one when I'm reminded that now I have to enjoy it without him.10 years ago

I'd been a fan of Roy Orbison since I was old enough to appreciate good music. I got to see him in Denver when I was just a kid - must have been late 60s or early 70s. One day, I had an accident on my forklift at work. I'd had a smoke on the way to work, so when the company asked for a drug test, I refused, which cost me my job. The next day I learned that Roy had died on what was my 32nd birthday. So, here I am without a job, stitches in my face, and a diabetic wife - and Roy Orbison has died! I've never felt so blue. get a clue....nobody has ever sung the word windsurfer any better. There can be only one. His voice never declined. In fact, he re-recorded all his hits digitally in his mid-50s and never missed a beat. Who else can make that claim? Timeless11 years ago

Can you read English? I am a long time fan of Orbison, probably before a stiff like you was even born. I just think by the time he wrote this song he was on the decline. You just don't seem to be able to read with comprehension. Every artist has songs that just don't click and this is truly one of them for Roy.
