From the album I'm Still In Love With you, recorded for Mercury Records and released in 1976.

Lyrics:

Try to keep from thinking, thinking means remembering

Remembering means hurtin', hurtin' ain't so funny

Funny how it hits you, hits you out of nowhere

Nowhere to hide from it, it will last forever

Forever is a long time, time keeps on a-creeping

Creeping toward tomorrow, tomorrow starts it over

Over all the lovin', lovin' and the good times

Good times turn to bad times, bad times start me thinking

Thinking is remembering, remembering starts the circle

Circle in a circle, circle, rounding circle

Circle is unbroken, unbroken is the circle

Never ending circle, circle without ending

Thinking in a circle, circle, empty circle

Circle without ending

There is lots of wisdom in this song. Life is a circle, happiness and shit returns in a circle again and again. Roy had huge success, life took Claudette from him. More success in music, life killed two of his sons. More or less success in the 70ies, life delivers an open heart surgery for Roy later on. Revival with the Traveling Wilburys and solo with You got it and the fabulous Mystery Girl album with Bono, Lynne etc - dead... Science prove today that not the cholerics and stressed bosses die early by cardiac infarctions, but the shy and introverted do - like Roy was. However - Circle... ANY biography you read from celebs or CEOs - all of them had to suffer a lot, had rebounds - in circles without endings. And many celebs die of alcohol, drugs and in poverty...

My favorite song With Roy Is" Pertty Woman", It does not get any better. If that song doesn't move you to move you need a transplant.

This one of the few tunes Roy didn't write that sounds like it could have EASILY written by him. If this had come out in 1963, it would have huge. It's one of my favorite "Roy" songs, and I love the whole lyrical conceit (each line begins with the same word the last one ends with) which is also mirrored by the chords looping around on themselves. Not only that, but the song comes full circle near the end with Roy singing about "thinking" and "remembering" like he did at the start! Brilliant!
