DECCA

Recorded Mar. 9, 1934

Lyrics:

Midnight with the stars and you

midnight and a rendez-vous

your eyes held a message tender

saying "I surrender all my love to you"

midnight brought us sweet romance

I know all my whole life through

I'll be remembering you

whatever else I do

midnight with the stars and you

Good version, never heard this, but not a patch on Al bowlly's.

You are correct. I misread. It's Roy Fox and His Band (At the Café de Paris, London), featuring vocalist Denny Dennis, recorded on 9 March 1934 and issued that year as the 78 rpm shellac 10" single Decca (UK) ‎ F3926.

You misread. If you look at the description, I indicated that this is a different version of the song Al Bowlly made famous. I was not suggesting this was his voice. I did put a link to Al Bowlly's rendition though.

It may be Roy Fox and his Orchestra, but the vocalist certainly is not Al Bowlly.

Did you transfer this from the original 78? If so, you did a good job.
