I've yet to hear a live version that gets anywhere near the record. This song is a studio masterpiece....one of the few where the bridge isn't just a throwaway, but fantastic in itself.'Throwaway lines often ring true" - fucking brilliant....the end of the song is more like a warmup to a heart attack. Manzanera ultra badass of all time....love the drums

As a kid I had a flat in E.London which I shared with some mates. My room had an electric red carpet with white walls & a bed on the floor. On one wall I had a big Japanese "Katana" symbol copied off my Suzuki Katana motor bike & on the other all the album covers off of what are now considered the classic collection of Roxy Music - the ones with all the girls on + Avalon.... Man! I though I was a dude!Unfortunately most of the girls I entertained up there would know "Siren" from "Triptych" preferring all the disco shit that was about back in the day!

Most daring cover pic on youtube I suspect. This is one of 4 or 5 super albums they did. Every band member was awesome.Bryan Ferry - vocalsEddie Jobson - synth (Eno on synth thru For Your Pleasure album)Phil Manzanera - guitarAndrew Mackay - saxPaul Thompson - drums
