For the record no female rapper wanted a freestyle battle with Shante in the mid 80s to early 90s. After Big Mama Shante team requested a battle with Lyte but her team refused. Shante was raw and she would've murdered Lyte in a freestyle battle! Lyte was overall a better artist but she had ghostwriters like every other female artist!9 years ago
