Was that the show in High Park? It is still hazy to me now. I remember Tony Springer. What a guitarist! I saw him when he did the Jimi tribute Fire! and those jam sessions at the bar down the alley near Yonge and Roselawn, Damn those were the days! Also my fave RT track,,

We were lucky to even do the show..... The musician's union rep came to remind me that my dues were not paid up, and that the band could not perform unless I paid him right then and there. This would have been just after the short soundcheck. Quite a day for all.

I was the tv audio engineer on "Concerts in the Park" series. We recorded these shows with the Comfort Sound mobile truck, on 24 track analog. I remember it being extremely hot that day, and that there was no awning over the p.a. console being used to mix the sound for the audience. It started to overheat and shut down during the sound check, so they had to replace it. Despite the short soundcheck, Carole and the band were amazing.

Where about's in High Park? I don't think they'd do again soon. Thanks for posting.

That's always the problem with opening acts. Most people don't go to see them, so they're impatient.

I remember seeing RT opening for Roxy Music at Massey Hall. They didn't get the credit they deserved that night.

Looks like she's lead a "hard" life. I wonder what she's like today 2012? I wonder if she thinks about Dusty?

Too bad there's no videos of RT at Grossman's in the early 70's. They were really something. Carole had a Rod Stewart cut then.

That weird shuffle she does at 2:18 made me laugh out loud. Totally 80s move - do that in the club these days and you'll get laughed out. Nice bounce action though.

Carole Pope sat in front of me at the David Bowie concert in 1983.

This was always a very cool band (more conceptual than coincidental that it had its innuendo and sexual leanings), with some great players going through its ranks. Too bad they didn't get a good crack (pardon the pun) at Europe, as hey would have found a ready-made audience to drive their ambition.

25 years ago.... I was right up on the rail in front of the stage to the left of Carol! Great show... Saw her here, Massey Hall, Ex Bandshell and the final "Deep Six in 86" concert in Toronto... Good Times.
