The vocals add a sense of desperation to the song and if you don't think that they fit the music, go listen to Pelican or some other watered down instru-metal band and pretend that it's good.

To those hating the vocals, you have to look at it from a purely artistic point of view. With Rosetta it isn't what is being said, but the conviction it is being said with.

The screams add power and emotion to the song. It is already moving alone without the vocals, but when they are added it gives the song much more emphasis to the pain that the character is going through.

screams can mean so many different things, sadness, rage, pain even happiness, interpret the song how you will but the vocals fit in that it gives power and emotion to whatever you feel and gain from this song..
