Well, he is with the Eagles, so he must have to put them first-- maybe he was just doing a one-time mini tour with Rodney for old time's sake. The way he played with Rodney, it was as though they had never stopped playing together. And, I don't know, I would think SS was from CA, but the way they were talking I got the impression he had a "home" near Alexandria. Maybe he comes from right around there, like Emmylou Harris grew up in Woodbridge, VA, which is not far from there at all.

Steuart Smith still tours with Rodney Crowell, Rosanne's first husband. He was playing with Rodney in concert at the Birchmere in Alexandria last June.

Rosanne Cash is one of my favorites, also, but please! Spell "Rosanne" right. There is only one 'e' in the way she spells it. She deserves the respect of at least getting her name right, does she not?

Nice job on the Telecaster, whoever you are! Randy Scruggs was the guitarist on the original King's Record Shop recording of this. Later Steuart Smith was Roseanne's guitarist on tour and he did a great job of it. This guys pretty damn good too!
