His group was so raw the sounded like a punk band, kinda like the clash at their peak!

Obviously not aware of what music is all about... Stevie perfected the Southern Blues that Jimi and everyone else only emulated. Apparently you can't get off because you are too soon to make a judgement... seriously, to deny the sensuality of Stevie's delivery implies you don't have what it takes in the sack. Get back, Jack!

How can this guy not be acknowledged?... A true solo guitar visionary... his music is complex while using the rough building blocks of blues and rock and roll. This song in itself testifies to his song making ability, talking about grown-up realities, rather than Paul McCartney style "I love my baby and everything is fine" Silly love songs my ass... this is the real deal. It aint always pretty. Anyway, I guess Rory has passed on? Such a shame.... liked his blend of R&R and melodies.

@yugang08 I always thought SRV sucked, not one original idea in his head, plus his songs sucked.

Rory may not have made as much of an impact to music as hendrix or vaughan, but he definitely gives both of them a run up for their money in guitar playing.
