the original recording of this great song was by larry davis on duke records,i believe somewhere in the late 1950,s and featured fenton robertson lead guitar,larry davis sang and played bass on it.

Thank you for posting this Milo. What a lesson learned. Rory did Texas Flood way before Stevie Ray. No disrespect to Steveie, but what a lesson learned here. Who'da thunk. I thought Stevie wrote it...... Rory is The Man!!!!!!!!
