No, he most assuredly shouldn't be in the hall of fame. He's too good for it. It's the hall of *fame*, not the hall of talent. Perhaps if this hall you speak of had some slight, tenuous connection to musical merit, I might agree with you, but that just isn't the case. The Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame is like the Grammy's or the Nobel peace prize: Utterly worthless and utterly meaningless.

Why do I keep seeing that sentiment expressed on Rory Gallagher videos? I mean come on, the hall of fame, like the Grammy's, has exactly nothing to do with artistic merit or musical ability, which is precisely why Rory does *not* belong there.
