I was still in my mother's womb when this song was released and wouldn't see "the break of day" until seven months later. So glad this type of music is still available to listen to 56 years later. I never heard of Smiley until I looked up "I Hear You Knockin'" while looking up Dave Edmunds. Love how this sort of thing happens and leads me this stuff.

now this is what i call music and from a good black musician too, unlike the black singers now or anyone else for that matter, you can't beat the oldies can you at least all of this will be remembered well into the next millenium, while the crap of most todays will be long forgotten

"Shame,Shame,Shame" ( Smiley Lewis ) . Someone is in great trouble i see .... The lady's are a bit too old to play "Baby Doll" , but also was Smiley at that time. However,i think he could appreciate them... And we appreciate him.Great R&B sound. Chris.
