Played in 1973 in Philly on the great, if semi-automated, WIOQ, "Popular 102," who played all his other hits, as well. David Klahr, the music director, played whatever he liked (a lot of it from albums), and what he liked was very good.

I remember listening to this song about 30Something years ago when they aired it on Philadelphia's WDAS F.M. Radio station I think b'cuz when I was a young boy I didn't know who'd sang the song back then but when I was then a teenager I remember the last time I'd heard the song was back in 89' when it aired one Saturday night on Philadelphia's 98' WOGL F.M. formerly known as HOT HITS WCAU F.M. when they had a program I think called The Weekend Dance Party or something b'cuz during the closing of the program they would play this song at 1:57 A.M. but I really like this song.

It was Philadelphia DJ Bob Pantano who closed his "Saturday Night Dance Party" with this song for many, many years. The Dance Party started in 1977 and continues to run every Saturday at 7PM to 2AM on 98.1 WOGL in Philadelphia. Every week this song is played at the end of the show, around 1:57AM.

This song was played a lot in Philadelphia and especially by a D.J. called Jerry Blavat who is still on the air..Blavat had an ear for this type of music..B sides and rare recordings..He has a ton of cd's out he made..Two I recommend by Blavat. One is called Jerry Blavat presents The Untouchables..the other one is called Harvey Holiday presents Jerry Blavat..(Holiday is another Philly icon DJ)..He have trouble finding them let me know and I'll get in contact with oldies store who has them all..

how can a song THIS GREAT go so unnoticed. this should be popping up on all the oldies stations at least. if i hear one more billy joel don't ask me why crap, i might give up on radio completely. this song is truly a keeper. a gem that may yet find it's setting if i keep pushing it on friends !! ha ha
