I bought the vinyl LP back in 1985 the year I got married. Soon after that we were expecting our first child and every night I would play this track while my wife would drift off to sleep. I think I still listen to this piece of music at least once a week, and yes we are still married with two children and several grandchildren and another on the way.

For some reason when I listen to this track it reminds me of that movie 'Raising the titanic' and the part when she is coming out of the ocean in all her slender, such a moving piece of music. I still own the cassete of Venice in peril that I listened to as a child on my tape player, the only culture I ever got lol

Every time I listen to this, it makes me want to cry. I just imagine a solitary house on a hill, surrounded by tall reads and an old man sitting outside in his rocking chair. No idea where that comes from, but it's such a strong feeling. Does anyone know where I can download the MP3 version. I've looked everywhere for it, but can't find Venice in peril on iTunes, only la serranissima. If anyone knows where I can buy this single I'd be very appreciative.
