Well I've only recently just got into DEP, but I can conclude they're awesome! Is Miss Machine the album you're on about? All bands are like that at the start though haha, as I said though if you listen to RT's latest stuff it sounds way better. I still like this song but I guess I can't take it as seriously as their newer stuff. But yeah back to the original point they're still know about music!

Well that's kinda subjective in a way, for what this band was going for back then I think they're used appropriately. And no I meant discordant (albeit I spelt it wrong). Yeah Dillinger Escape Plan are clear influence, but then again DEP have been going for a lot longer than Rolo Tomassi so of course they're going to have a much more developed sound that Rolo's early stuff. I too was kinda skeptical of this band but listening to later stuff I realise they're pretty awesome!

Y'know it actually takes a good musician to use chromaticism and dischordant sounds properly. I say Rolo Tomassi are pretty good at that! If you don't like this though I'd check out their newer stuff, it's still like this just more developed....just fucking kick ass!
