Especially like Bill's bass and Charlie's cool drum before the dramatic shift to D minor (II V I progression)....some of the earliest use of the walking bass line C - B- to A minor.. in pop tunes like Stairway to Heaven, Badge and Bluebird. Rhythm variations help lend variety so it can sound differently in so many songs. PS/ Brian really shows his incredible talents here.

Great song, I forgotten classic from their "Aftermath" album. I have the album in pristeen condition from the box vinyl album box set. This was also obviously played on the "Wes Anderson" movie "Rushmore". Brian Jones is playing the "Dulcimer" on this one, he was a talented member that brought various musical instrumental spectrums to many of their songs during their early years.Great post a classic some have forgotten...Peace 2 ya

Wiki on the Aftermath album: . Brian Jones played a variety of instruments not usually associated with rock music—including sitar on "Paint It Black", the Appalachian dulcimer on "Lady Jane"[4] and "I Am Waiting"

Always heard that this was written while waiting for Brian to get out of jail -- the last member of the group to do so, after a much-publicized and probably set-up marijuana bust. Dunno if it's true but certain lines would seem to apply.

Yet another recompile of the whole project because a header-only template implementation was changed... the perfect soundtrack for C++ programmers (doubly so if you're using ld on windows) ;)Rolling Stones - I Am Waiting

They get song writer and performer royalties but I don't think they own the publishing rights for their 60's era music. I read it somewhere on the internet and now you did, too.

The Stones charge a bomb for the royalties.
