Rod is great but no his cover isn't quite as good as Otis but a lot better than the 1935 recording of Bing Crosby doing it. That' partly to do with the sound of an old album. So you can't say the original and be talking about Otis Redding..

I don't think Mr. Stewart would agree- Being as Otis is one of his BIGGEST Inspirations -- But then again we have our own opinions , And I can fault you for yours.. However with that said, its the best cover of the song (so far).. Hands down..

I agree...while I am not old enough for Otis, I am old enough for Three Dog Night. This is an excellent version. The sax is amazing. On Otis and 3Dog, it all about the drums.
