I've seen this song performed live in two different YouTube videos and he leaves the last verse out both times, which imho, is the best verse: "I recall the night we knelt and prayed; noticing your face was thin and pale. I felt it hard to hide my tears; I felt ashamed, I felt I'd let you down..." Beautiful.

Wonderful song about two lovers toughing it out. "I could'nt believe you kept a smile" Even though the snow fell without a break, you did'nt go anywhere, "I Love You Darlin' " - it is great to see Rod playing guitar here.

Rod Stewart is a frustrated folk singer.... love it ! One of the best songs ever written in my humble opinion... and we don't often get a chance to see Rod play guitar, so that's an added bonus !
