This song is "Fool For You" and was written by Rod and released on his 1976 album 'A Night On The Town', where it featured on the "slow side" and which was produced by Tom Dowd. The song's recording took place at Cherokee Recording Studios in Hollywood, CA.
The theme of these pictures is Rod and his (ex and/or current) wives, fiancées, girlfriends, dates, mothers of his children, etcetera. For the most part, all of the usual suspects are present (Penny Lancaster-Stewart, Rachel Hunter, Britt Ekland, Alana Stewart), as well as a couple with Kelly Emberg and Dee Harrington and I think one or two of Marcy Hanson may have gotten in there, as well as one with Carole Mallory. Also, there's one of him and Joanna Lumley (notable of course for the distinct lack of blonde hair) when they were going out.
Guests (as in people who happened to be in the pictures but are not a part of Rod's love life/history) are: Ronnie Wood and (now ex) wife Jo, Siegfreid Loch (who I looked up and it seems that he is a German record producer or executive or something like that -- feel free to read his German Wikipedia page for more information), several of Rod's children, Elton John and the back of the Queen.
As always, the slideshow was created by me and is not meant to reflect the meaning of the song. The pictures within are ones that I found on the internet and I do not claim to own them or anything in them. I will remove any pictures at their owner's request should they see this and not wish the photo(s) in question to be used. Furthermore, I make no claim to the song and post it purely for people's enjoyment and to perhaps inspire them to purchase the said album (or indeed song), if they have not already done so.
The photo sources are too considerable to list, however I will be happy to provide sources for any image(s) upon request. That being said, I did note a direct plea for recognition on one of the sites that provided some pictures and I therefore give credit to the following website (/blog, I guess): http://dietcokeandsympathy.blogspot.com/2011/01/seventies-it-couple-rod-bod-beautiful.html
Thank you to whoever watched the video (let alone anyone who read this -- not that I imagine anyone will). Thank you to Rod Stewart for this song and indeed all his songs and... I think I might as well stop now. Thanks again.
