I will never understand why this fine track by Stewarty only reached #63 on the British charts when it was released as the follow-up single to "Ain't Love A Bitch" in the spring of 1979. I know that "Blondes Have More Fun" was the third track to be released from the album of the same name, but that doesn't explain why the song sold so few copies in the UK, and failed miserably to make an impact on the charts.Up until the release of "Blondes Have More Fun"(the single) - in April or May of 1979 - every Rod Stewart single since "Maggie May" had been a sizeable hit on this side of The Atlantic.

Incidentally, it was a blue period for me too when I bought this album at the age of 20. I was in the city working and just scrapping through to make ends meet. But the music consoled the rather difficult times.
