You Can Make Me Dance, Sing or Anything (Even Take the Dog for a Walk, Mend a Fuse, Fold Away the Ironing Board, or Any Other Domestic Shortcomings)" was the last official single by British rock group Faces. It later appeared on their greatest hits album Snakes and Ladders.

Released under the group title, Rod Stewart and the Faces, the single reached No.12 over Christmas 1974 in the UK singles chart. The song still holds the record for the longest song-title ever to hit the UK chart.

Lyrics:

Hey baby, i wanna say something to ya', listen

Sometimes when i get out of my head

And i say all the wrong things

Sometimes i know i stay out late at night

And i get back fighting, hey babe

Somehow all my plans keep slippin' through my hands

And i end up crying, but listen

I can be a millionaire

Honey when you're standing there you're so exciting

You can make me dance, you can make me sing

You can make me do just any old thing and i love it

Sometimes i wanna get up so early

And get away from here girl

Summer's gone and before long

North winds blow, that bring the snow

I'll keep us warm girl

My schemes it seems are merely dreams

Fading with each morning, hey babe

But this old heart of mine

Is far too proud not to keep on trying

You can make me dance, you can make me sing

You can make me do just any old thing, yeah baby

So little bird don't fly away

Want you here every day

Don't ever leave me

I'd rather lose both my eyes

Than never see your smiling face again girl

You can make me dance, you can make me sing

You can make me do just any old thing

You can make me dance, you can make me sing

You can make me do just any old thing

Hey babe, keep on loving me babe

Yeah, keep on loving me babe

Just keep on loving me babe ...

Just keep on loving me darling ...

Woww, alright, hey baby, oh darling

Keep on loving me darling

Just keep on loving me darling ...

Wonderful song by a wonderful band - typically warm and soulful vocal by Rod, and Ronnie at his very best.

A primo rock-n-roll number from a primo rock-n-roll outfit. If I play this tune twenty times in a roll it will never get tired. To paraphrase Steve Howe, "Bravo the seventies"

"Rod Stewart and the Faces" is the most wrong way you can think of naming it. It's just "Faces". No "the" and Rod was a normal member.

@mrubbish ~ Agreed. Just not enough characters available in these letter box formats to do everyone justice. Faces are one of my Top 10, all time favorite bands and I've been listening to contemporary popular music since mom & dad bought me my first transistor radio in 1958.

Don't forget that Macca was such an important part of this band and Kenny was there from the very start. I loved the way they played rock, r&b and soul, fast and slow. Of course Tetsu was in this line up, he fitted in well but Plonk was the man.

Ronnie Wood, Ronnie Lane and Rod Stewart. What great music from so many years gone by. I remember the first time I heard this recording; it was sometime around the Spring of 1976 although I know it was recorded years before. What a special group this was. Ronnie Wood spent a quarter century trying to gain respect as part of the Stones but this guy always played such a beautiful gutiar and never got the respect. I could listen to this until the end of life itself. Thank you, Ronnie Wood.
