I was there, too. Particularly remember The Steam Packet’s set, The Who and an electrifying “Georgia On My Mind” by Stevie Winwood. But they were all good!

This was the National Jazz Blues Festival at Richmond Athletic Grounds, 6-8 August 1965. I was there! So were The Yardbirds, The Who, Georgie Fame, Graham Bond, The Animals, The Moody Blues, Spencer Davies and of course The Steam Packet with Long John Baldry, the Brian Auger Trinity with Julie Driscoll and a promising lad by the name of Rod Stewart.
