Death [edit] On July 31, 1964, Reeves and Dean Manuel (also the pianist of Reeves' backing group, the Blue Boys) in a single-engine Beechcraft Debonair aircraft, with Reeves at the controls. Tennessee, they encountered a violent thunderstorm. and Reeves suffered spatial disorientation, attempted to follow road to the airport stalled the aircraft applied full power pulled back on the yoke before leveling his wings a fatal mistake that induced a stall/spin from which he was too low to recover.,

that crash also killed Jim Reeves. This is family entertainment, not the trash coming out of Hollywood. Adam Sandler, Will Farrell, and Jack Black wish they were this good

Tater is great. I remember the loss of Cowboy Copus along with Patsy cline and Hawkshaw Hawkins in that plane crash. Television finally came to my area in 1955 and I got to see the Opry on a black and white Philco TV. Don :-)

The man in thr blue checked shirt was Randy Hughes who married Copes daughter Kathaloma! Randy was the pilot of the plane the killed Cowboy Copas, Hawkshaw Hawkins and Patsy Cline on March 5-1963!

I remember as a teenager watching these vintage tv shows as reruns on PBS. My mama was a big fan of the Grand Ole Opry, so any time there was a show like this on, the whole family would watch.
