Él es mejor conocido por su hit 1980 " Tired of Toein' the Line.", que él co-escribió con Ron Coleman, quien anteriormente escribió, grabó y tocó con los Hermanos Grim y los Everly Brothers.Rocky Burnette nació en Memphis, Tennessee , y se convirtió en parte de la década de 1980 del estilo rockabilly.
