This song is a song that haunted me for years because I was a kid when it was released. For years I searched and asked older people and came up with nothing until 2010. Thank you for sharing it.

MJwade18, I don't deny that he was a one-hit wonder. You're also right that he didn't release 4 LPs in the 80's. I said that wrong...my bad. He put out a total of 4 LPs that I have in my collection, His first, "Rockie Robbins" LP was released in1979, that contained a cover of "Be Ever Wonderful", then "You and Me" in 1980 (which this song is on), "I Believe In Love" in 1981, and his last, "Rockie Robbins" in 1985. Other than the hit song, "You And Me", he the others went nowhere.

OK ,Dude, I know you are wrong, Rockie Robbins did not put out four LPs in the 80's. He was the provibial one hit wonder. This song was on his debt album "Rockie Robbins." I have the LP and just listenened to it. He may have had an album or two after this, but they were not even recoginiziable. I know my stuff. Peace.

mjwade18, I have three out of the four lps Rockie put out in the 80s in my collection, and I promise you, this song is on his second release, "You & Me" from 1980. The lp before this one, is called "Rockie Robbins", which came out in 1979. Btw, Larry Graham is playing some SICK bass on this song and on the others on this lp :)

No disrespect to anyone. But take from a stone-cold old school fool like me. This song was on on Rockie Robbins debut album titled "Rockie Robbins". It was sort of an underground sucess. It was the second beat song on the album. I don't think he had.a follow-up album and if he did, it was not very successful. I guess he was a one hit wonder. Too bad. He was gifted and could have done so much more. Peace.

I've been a Rockie fan from the beginning. I have this LP and the previous one, "Rockie Robbins", and both are superb! I really wish that A&M had had the vision then, to really recognize and promote his talent the way both he, and the listening audience, so deserved! Love you always, Rockie!

I remember this song and You and Me when I was in junior high school back in the 70s. I love this song. They would play this on WHUR in Washington, DC almost every night when it first came out. It was an instant hit on the Quiet Storm. My mom, sisters and I love this song. Thanks for who ever posted this song on You Tube -- you are to be deeply commended. YEAH!!! I shared this with my sister. Thanks so much!!!!

Larry Graham on Bass, the writer of this song is Sam Dees, he also wrote the classic "one in a million" for Larry.
