It's been said that this video was the single thing that killed his career. It is pretty gay, even by today's standards, but most people wouldn't care today.

This video destroyed his career period but he still will never have to work again. Reading I Want My MTV right now the book and they reference this gay ass video.

The video wasn't gay enough! They should have put a few Chippendale dancers in with Billy. Maybe a shower scene with him pleasuring himself with a luffa.

The demise of BSquire....great song overshadowed by the vision of a horrible video producer. Thank you MTV for that male crawl scene

I frigging love this video. I really don't know why so many people hate it. I was in my 20s in the 80s and I didn't know anybody who stopped listening to Billy Squier because he may or may not have been gay. Nobody I knew gave a sh*t.

I don't care how bad this video is I still watch it and think he's just as hot today as I did when I was 14 and listening to this song.

Idk what anybody says. Billy Squier has some great songs..this one, and "Don't Say You Love Me"...wonder how many women have pole-danced to that one. It's perfect for it.

LOL !! This Vid is a Reminder to those of us (70's and/or 80's) that Jammed Out to the music but never watched the Singers or Bands to actually consider their Sexual Preferance's etc.. ( IE : Freddy Mercury and many others ) But it all sounded good as we were going down the road with the music Blasting away with our Pioneer 100 watt and Jenson's 6x9's ! It all Sounded good at the Time :)

Hah! Billy Squier is no gayer than Freddy Mercury. Billy actually was the lead on band for Queen in Vancouver back in 84? I think 84, that's the first year I saw Queen live. Maybe 83...I can't remember, I've done way too many drugs and booze to remember what year it was...oklay, I could google it. Gotta love google, it reminds me of shit that happened that I don't remember...And Billy Squier had a dozen #1 hits of his own. You kids are all too young to know that shit.

I heard he made a video for playboy with the song , she goes down…this might help reverse the damage..but for some reason I can't find it on you tube…almost like it's is a consperacy...

Thing is, he's not gay. When he saw this, it was too late to stop it.

I hate to burst bubbles here, but if this video killed his career, how did it manage to be his highest charting single? True, it's awful, but I don't think it had the negative impact some think it did.
