Is Trower intimating that his guitar is a whip?

Best song on this album and ranks with the Trower " classics " . Saw Robin Trower this past Saturday night in St. Louis . He still kills live . Most under-rated guitarist of all time .

River, keep on rising; carry my soul to the sea. Troubled waters, take me with you; to a faraway destiny.River, where is the justice; when a man can stumble and fall, In the waters of confusion … stumble and lose it all..?Roll on, keep on rolling. You don’t even have to be aware that I’m there. Taken pride in the lessons I’ve learned, and joy from the river before me.

I started listening to R.T. back in the late '80's,around '88-89,but i have noticed the lead singer has passed on or at the time had a stroke and when I listened to R.T. back then,I noticed also that there were no words or no vocals,is this why...and please name some cassettes or "albums that were out in those days..i can't remember which one I had but it was GREAT..me and my co-workers would swap out our cassettes...fun times!!

A vastly under-rated album.

This album was the last thing Dewar ever recorded. After "Back It Up" stiffed commercially (Trower also refused to tour for it) and Chrysalis dropped him, Trower went in a different direction in the mid 80's with Dave Bronze (bassist vocalist) and then Davey Pattison (vocals). Sadly, Dewar suffered a crippling stroke in late 1987 and was never able to perform after that. He was confined to a wheelchair and lived in a group home til he passed away in 2002.

Like all the great guitarists...it's all in a beautiful, recognizable tone. No mistaking Trower.
