Does anybody know the origin of "The Bridge of Sighs"? A horror story from WWII or WWI, not sure which one, but it was a bridge that POW's had to cross. Love this song to this day and always have. Trower one of the best guitarist in my book!! Been a music lover from the time I was ten and am now 55. The Bridge of Sighs is an actual bridge in Venice, Italy. The bridge goes over one of the canals, between the court building and jailhouse building. When a person is convicted and sentenced in the court building, they have to walk over this bridge to go to jail. The prisoners draw a deep sigh as they are crossing it because its the last time they will see the outside for a long time.5 years ago
