All three guys on great form here. But got to admit that drum solo really steals the show. Brilliant.

Bill Lordan was with Sly & Family Stone after Andy Numark left, and so did bassist Larry Graham (the first notable bassist to really use walking thirds up and down thumping and popping) to form his Graham Central Station. A good video of him with Sly was on Soul Train. I believe both Reggie and Bill have their strong playing points and differ to compare the two pros' approaches to interpreting Trower's tunes. Bill is a bit jazzier/crispier and Reggie was more solid and powerful. (Appice is my all time favorite and no one even come close to him. I've heard people rant about Neal Pert, but Appice was doing the same licks 15 years earlier than Pert. Cozy Powell; R.I.P., would have to be my all time No2, tied with Ginger Baker. Cozy's song 'The Blister" still holds the Guinness Record as the fastest - displacing Appice w/ Cactus, "Parchment Farm," ; which displaced Alvin Lee's "I'm Going Home.") Trower's tone has always been the thing that grabs a musician and Dewar's vocals were the perfect compliment...

For Earth Below was a very solid album: Shame The Devil and For Earth Below are two other great tracks off of this album.....

Those stupid lists are so subjective. I'm sure mister I only play the same 3 notes over and over again BB king is on that stupid list. For me guitarists like Blackmore , Page , Trower only deserve to be on that list!
