One hit wonder? He had a nice voice. Sounds a little like Buddy Holly.

It is funny,I heard "Susie Darlin" in Sioux Narrows, Ontario, Canada in 1958, but it took 2 months for the DJ's in Springfield, Illinois, USA to start playing it. I always wondered why Canada got songs before the USA did.

VERY reminiscent of the 1950s, that's for sure. And just the perfect picture of a man who's been jilted is yet clinging to his hopes that his ex-girl will have second thoughts and decide to come back to him one day. Great country-like quality this song has to it, also, in my opinion.

Listening to some of my favorite music tonight. I've never said it before, but this song is among my top 5 all time favorites of any song I have ever heard.

I would like to live just one night with the same expectations I had at 17. Just to feel so excited about life and wondering what things would happen to me! Now I know that nobody has their dreams come true. Not in this life anyway. So let's just enjoy whatever we can today and not worry about what is down the road. I think they call it "living in the moment".

The 50's were the best years for love songs. Not like the crazy music today. My name was Sue and I was always called Susie Darlin or Wake up Little Susie by all the boys. Great time.

Robin Luke was in the same class as I was at Punahou, class of 1960. I remember when this song came out and I liked it. What I also remember was what a hard time the boys in our class gave him when he was back in school between gigs. They were just a tad jealous. I thought it was pretty cool to have singer with a hit song in our class!

No era beats the music of the 50's and 60's---simple and sweet tunes. Wish the World was like that time again.
