from 'Johnny Boy Would Love This... A Tribute to John Martyn'

Gonna get on up and fly away

Go on out for another way

And a new day's dawn

Going to carry on.

Keep on loving while your love is strong

Keep on loving 'til your love is gone away.

Gonna get on up and fly away

Go on after another way and a new day has dawned

Gonna carry on

Well you're very lovely, going to take you home

They say you'll be my ruin

Cos I love you so

I just love you so.

Keep on loving 'til your love is gone

Keep on loving while your love is strong

All the way.

Read lots of comments below, however I firmly believe the big man would've loved this cover. If not a John Martyn fan, please try the original from 'One World', it will take your mind on a wonderful journey. And to think, just one man with his acoustic ( also did it with just electric guitar ) could make such a beautiful sound and sonic scenery

In reply to Frank VanRochus (where the reply button was disabled) - agree totally. Smith takes a noble stab and since it's such a great song, pulls off the basics. But fails at the nuances that give it all the depth. Still, I give him an 'A' for effort. ...There is, and there will only ever be, one John Martyn. A great artist who is slowly and surely rising to his rightful place with the best of his generation. Some things just take more time than others.

I'm a huge John Martyn fan and I adore this version, it's a fitting tribute from one extraordinarily talented man to another of the same ilk, fell asleep listening to this on my headphones last night, so relaxing.

Why do people feel the need to critique the hell out of everything? If you dont like it move the fuck on and dont bore other people with your rubbish comments.
