I've been a Pollard/GBV fan for years. Why am I just now hearing this song ? This is incredible. In fact it might even be my new fave by the guy. Wow.

And now for part two of our feature today on legendary American songwriter, Robert Pollard. Only here on. Really. Slow. Radio."I do my job each day, empties crushed and fired away."

This song makes me wanna go and check out more of Pollard's solo stuff. Quite frankly, the hit or miss ratio is too all over the map on his records for me to invest the cash. But this song fucking kills it.

@jonahstevenson well you dudes are both wrong. check out Elephant Jokes, We All Got Out of the Army, even The Crawling Distance, which at first I thought was a throwaway, is shaping up to be one of my favorite of his solo lps. some of his recent stuff has to grow on you a bit more than the old days, but when it hits it hits HARD.
