The delta blues legend sings 'Come on in my Kitchen.'

"You better come on, in my kitchen, 'cause it's going to be raining outdoors."

One of my favourite songs of his. Hopefully the images reflect the general feel of it.

Also, please check out my Blues channel on videosift, where you'll find many more great performances by a wide variety of blues artists on video, all in one place.

Once at least, and no doubt oftener, people cried when Robert played this song of his. True! The room went silent, no applause, not a sound. They were weeping, women and men. Ron

The man knew salesmanship and a good "hook" that is for sure. If you actually take a minute or two to read where the real story comes from you will realize it is a load of B/S cooked up AFTER THE FACT to sell shows.

Racist sick people should shut up. They already cause to much pain to every one. Racist wounded dogs should stay in their kennel. It is unbelievable that 111 "dislikes" this genius.

Nice, sounds very similar to the Mississippi Sheiks - "Sitting on top of the world" recorded a few years earlier.

Sounds like Mississippi Fred McDowell got his inspiration for You gotta move from this song.

I no longer think this song is about his taking revenge on his rival. I think it's about his remorse for treating her badly. "I've taken the last nickle out of her nation sack". He's telling her he's concerned about her prospects with this guy, and that he wants her back. That makes more sense, I think. He was a nicer guy than I gave him credit for.

It’s funny because Johnson sounds a lot older than a guy in his mid twenties, in a good wiseman way.
