This is not the Asturias written by Isaac Albeniz.

i guess, he is infected with the commercial side of music now. as much as liked him with the real "king crimson", the more i dislike his actual performances,

This piece was composed by Bert Lams from the California Guitar Trio.

This is, obviously, a gritty reboot of Segovia's interpretation.

'Asturias' by Albeniz was originally written for piano. the guitar version was a later adaptation written by (or for) Segovia.

@alanboro Indeed. I understand your use of it though. Transposing between mediums; sound to visual.

@fryBASS Fair enough! We both have learnt something! now I know what transposition is in musical terms, and now you know that it means in other areas. You were right all along then. =)

@alanboro I'm sorry, but as a music student, I'll have to stand by my point. When talking in musical terms, transposition exclusively means changing pitches. "In music transposition refers to the process, or operation, of moving a collection of notes (pitches or pitch classes) up or down in pitch by a constant interval" (Wikipedia).

@fryBASS No sir, Transposition implies an essence. It is seizing some attributes from a piece or from an artist.. then you understand that artist or piece (global understanding is unreachable when we´re talking about art, just your p.o.v) and then you MAKE your own piece in which you can feel the essence of the thing you´ve transposed. As a design student I had to make a transposition... I took kraftwerk´s music and made a video WITHOUT music... still a transposition

@alanboro I wouldn't call it a transposition. Transposition only implies that the key has been changed or parts have been revoiced to different instrumentation, still following the same form as the original.

@fryBASS It is not an interpretarion, it is a transposition. They took the spirit of the piece you mentioned and made this.

This is actually an interpretation of a piece by the same name written by Isaac Albeniz. It is meant for solo classical guitar.

@havin34 It's actually by Bert Lams, and I guarantee you he's not getting paid for this.
