Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. @MisterPetroni Of course it was cooler than meeting the president, HE'S ROBERT FREAKING FRANCIS.

@MisterPetroni I was at that show! I was probably the loudest most vocal of those 8 fans. He killed it at that performance. Did that one solo/acoustic too. Very unexpected. Hope you got a chance to see him during his residency at the Bootleg Theatre in August. He is currently out in support of Mat Kearney; playing Music Box next month!

I remember I met Robert Francis before a show of his in L.A. around May 2011. He was opening for the Old 59's lead singer. My sister and I were 2 of about 8 of his fans present at the show. One day thousands of people will be at a show of his in L.A. wishing they had that chance that I did to meet him. Yes I will brag about it. It was cooler than meeting the president would be.
